Julie Rose manages the Economic Empowerment portfolio for the Cisco Foundation and Cisco Social Impact Investments team. She invests in tech-enabled solutions that provide individuals with equitable opportunities and contribute to local community growth and economic development in a sustainable economy. Julie works closely with her grantee partners in the impact areas of skills to careers, inclusive entrepreneurship, and financial inclusion to ensure they are empowered with the tools they need to make an impact in their space. She holds a B.A in Humanities from San Jose State University and an M.A. in English from the University of Virginia and is the author of three novels and the host of an interview-based podcast.
